Brad Moore

Chief Executive Officer

In 2015, Brad joined Vision bringing nearly 20 years of experience in marketing and media. He previously served in a senior management role with InnerWorkings, responsible for new client development and strategic acquisitions. He had a long career with the Tribune Company, where he led a group of media properties, including the Redeye, Hoy and Chicago Magazine. He also launched a digital marketing agency providing search, social and reputation management services to businesses.

Brad has a BA in Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business.


Rich Lane

Chief Operations Officer

Rich is responsible for Technology and Operations for Vision. He also serves in a strategic role, helping to set the company’s vision and direction. Rich has 25+ years of experience in diverse general management roles, providing technology solutions to complex challenges, and building and operating businesses from the ground up. Most recently he spent over 10 years with DataBank a premier provider of business process automation solutions serving Government, Healthcare, Insurance, Energy, Finance and Higher Education sectors.

Rich has BS in Business Administration with a specialization in Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University.

Mario Christopher

Chief Financial Officer

Mario leads finance and human resources and brings more than 25 years of financial management, operations and public accounting experience, with expertise in early stage and rapidly growing service-based and technology companies. Starting his career with KPMG, he spent most of his time in their high technology practice. As a CFO, he has extensive experience leading strategy, process improvements, corporate finance and risk management. Additionally throughout his career he has been actively involved in raising venture capital, bank financings, recapitalizations, and acquisitions.

Mario is a certified public accountant and holds a BBA in Accounting from Chicago’s Loyola University.


James Capstick

Executive VP Sales

With a career that began in the graphics industry, James has spent the last 14 years in senior leadership roles with World Color and most recently Quad Graphics. He has a rich background in sales leadership and extensive experience in building client partnerships that deliver value through his relentless approach to finding solutions on the cutting-edge of marketing services. James is responsible for leading and growing our company’s sales efforts and brings to our team and clients a deep understanding of the marketing challenges our diverse customer base faces in omni-channel environments.

James has a communications degree from University of Denver.

Doug Powell


Doug’s experience in the marketing services industry began as the founder of Award Graphics in 1985. Over the past 30 years, the company achieved significant organic growth, successfully integrated several strategic acquisitions and was re-branded as Vision. Doug has extensive experience in a wide range of client categories and has played a pivotal role in enterprise level client programs.

Doug has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas School of Business.

John Tobe


John is a seasoned expert at retail marketing. With experience working on both sides of the business—as vendor and client—John’s unique perspective helped him build his company, Tobe Direct, which merged with Vision in 2015.

John started his career in the typesetting business which he transformed into Papa John’s Print Network, which he eventually sold to Papa John’s International. He then gained valuable client insight by becoming a Papa John’s franchisee with 30  locations. In 1998 John returned to the print and direct mail business founding Tobe Direct.  John currently sits on the board of Vision and is in charge of new business development as well as managing some of the company’s largest retail accounts.

John has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Steve Smits


Prior to presiding over Vision’s Tinley Park operations, several major enterprise accounts and the financial aspects of the business, Steve Smits held a position with an international public accounting firm for eight years before starting his own Chicago-based CPA firm. After four years of providing financial and tax consulting services to Alpha Beta Press, he became an owner, purchasing part of the company in 1990. In 2005, Steve purchased the rest of the company and merged it with Award/Vision to form Vision Integrated Graphics Group.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin where he received an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and an MBA in Accounting. Steve is also a Certified Public Accountant.
