From Start-up to Success!

Vision builds and supplies complete in-store signage and environmental graphics for Five Below on demand.

Client Background:

In 2001, a unique concept in dollar store chains was born when Five Below launched their first two stores in Pennsylvania. Wildly successful among tween, teen and young adult demographics, Five Below stores have now expanded to reach much of the Eastern and Midwestern parts of the United States operating over 540 stores in 31 states.

Story Information:

Five Below stores carry a wide-ranging selection of merchandise, with goods grouped into one of eight departments—Style, Room, Sports, Tech, Crafts, Party, Candy and Now. All products are priced at $5 and below.

The typical Five Below store is roughly 7500 square feet and full of bright colors and eye-catching signage. Each store contains approximately 280 printed large-format graphics. These graphics include dimensional lettering, custom branded wallpaper and printed styrene headers over product racking (or Madix). Five Below also requires conventional printing for over 10,000 pricing strips per store as well as promotional posters.

Vision pre-produces graphics for all stores allowing a rapidly expanding Five Below to order multiple complete store kits at a time. Printed graphics are warehoused at both our Hobart, IN and Tinley Park, IL facilities. Vision’s packaging and distribution department coordinates kitting and fulfillment, pulling graphics from warehousing as needed to build the corresponding store-ready crates.

Vision also developed an online ordering module that integrates with Five Below’s ordering system. With the Vision module, Five Below is able to view, add, change and order store graphics from warehousing using a streamlined system.
