Teladoc Welcomes New Clients

Client Background:

Teladoc, Inc. is the nation’s first and largest telehealth platform, delivering on-demand healthcare 24 hours a day, from almost anywhere via web, phone or mobile app.  Teladoc provides health plans, employers, organizations and individuals with access to its network of more 3,000 board-certified, state-licensed physicians and behavioral health professionals.  Within minutes, patients can request a consult, talk to a doctor and have a prescription for non-emergency conditions sent to their pharmacy of choice…all without leaving work or home.

Story Information:

In 2015 Teladoc needed a more technology driven partner who could not only handle the large volume, highly variable, daily print and fulfillment requirements for their patient welcome kits, but who could also provide insight into the process for internal Teladoc stakeholders.

Teladoc 1 kitThe first order of business involved finding a more innovative mail format that was able to accommodate all of Teladoc’s marketing needs.  The previous mailer was analyzed by our production team and after much testing Vision delivered a solution that not only met their needs but that provided substantial cost savings.  The kit components are printed on custom stock developed specifically for their usage and include two variable printed member cards.  All components are then inserted into a custom window envelope for mailing.

Next, with quick turn requirements from data receipt to delivery, Vision set out to automate the production process for maximum efficiency.   Utilizing our internal technology team, Vision created a workflow that includes a secure web portal designed specifically for Teladoc administrators to track every piece from production to delivery- previously a big pain point.  The portal allows for easy access to PDF proofs, an approval process and details on the delivery of every single mailer.  Finding answers to production status and individual member kits which used to take days, now takes minutes.   In addition, Vision was able to improve overall in home delivery dates by 4-5 days, a huge improvement for both Teladoc and their customers.

Teladoc was so pleased with the system we built for the welcome kits, they asked Vision to also build a portal for their clients to create custom marketing support materials promoting Teledoc services to their employees.  This new portal is a win – win for all involved as it streamlines the order process, simplifies fulfillment and helps drives usage of Teladoc services which is a cost savings opportunity for their clients.
