Vision Helps NorthShore University HealthSystem Celebrate Life
Vision Provides Printed Graphics for Celebrate Health 2015
During this past October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Vision contributed to an important health awareness program entitled Celebrate Health 2015. The program was hosted by NorthShore University HealthSystem and highlighted NorthShore’s twenty-one year partnership with retailer Nordstrom in providing onsite access to mammogram testing at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie, IL.
Working directly with full-service creative agency 88 Brand Partners, Vision provided printed graphics that were used in transforming the Cube, a large glass-walled space often used by brands to promote product launches and host events. The space would be used for events such as healthy cooking demonstrations, makeovers, yoga workshops, tea parties and many kid-friendly programs.
On the exterior, Vision used 206 Lo-Tac clear film with reduced ink coverage to highlight the pink translucence of the graphic design. This allowed light to pass through the graphic without using a perforated vinyl. The imagery and the pink background popped day or night.
Inside the Cube, Vision constructed three block wall structures and covered the faces with 3M 180-10 vinyl decal and a 3M 8519 lustre overlam for protection.
Vision produced several thousand small butterflies which were die-cut from 12 pt. cardstock. They were also creased, making them easy to fold then attach to a thin string and hung in the windows.
Over 1,200 messages of strength and courage were written on non-creased butterflies by the many people who stopped by the Cube to share their own stories as well as those of loved ones. These were attached to the box wall structures using thumb tacks.
The month-long event resulted in over 500 free health screenings and reached over 400,000 through social media. We were very proud to be part of this important and well-crafted campaign.
